Get to know Imani
Imani and her family love a great adventure and have not shied away from the hectic Los Angeles traffic to enjoy all of this city’s hidden jewels. Arriving over a decade ago, it was then that she fell in love with Los Angeles. It wasn’t “love at first sight” but it didn’t take long. Driving around in search of the right neighborhood to raise their girl, it was clear that LA had a very interesting story to tell, boldly exhibited through its sprawling neighborhoods and homes. The richness in history, culture and diversity was undeniable. After navigating coast to canyon, Imani and her family landed in the North Hollywood/Toluca Lake area.
According to Imani, “We only had one car at the time. NOHO was practical, in a diverse area, and walking distance to the train station and nice parks.” Imani will provide you with that same nuanced and considerate approach.
A Chicago native, born and raised in Hyde Park, the discerning eye of her late mother’s love for all things that incorporated beauty, design, nature and function stirred her initial passion for real estate. Immersed in the city’s cultural offerings, from world-renowned art and science museums, architectural gems by Frank Lloyd Wright and Mies Van Der Rohe to the University of Chicago’s gothic archways, an understanding of how architecture informs our stories was cultivated in Imani at a very early age.
After graduating college, Imani spent four years in Italy and Sicily, studying art history and Italian, working as a radio deejay, and mastering the gift of “La Dolce Vita” with her Sicilian husband.
